Cardigan to Arran

Departure Sunday 25th July. The tiny white sail over to the left is Erika just having left the Teifi estuary before rounding Cardi island and heading for east coast Ireland en route to Arran.

Having recently bought ‘Erika’, Finesse 24 with sail No16, Jim Hughan sailed her fromĀ  Cardigan to Howth (south of Dublin), departing Sunday 25th July 2023 from the estuary of the Teifi river.

Now on her mooring Lochranza, new home waters north west Arran, West coast Scotland

The next step was on to Ardglass (south of Belfast); then on to Portpatrick before moving on to Ardrossan (the Calmac ferry terminal for the Isle of Arran.

The final leg of the journey was crossing the Firth of Clyde and the Sound of Bute to arrive in Lochranza, Arran.

Underway Irish Sea, they arrived in Howth for first overnight stop, after 30 hours in moderate sea conditions. Sounds like a good crew, Jim plus two.
